UPF welcomes Kwanglim Seo, professor at UH Manoa, and strengthens a long-standing international partnership

Actualités ,

The University of French Polynesia was honored to welcome Kwanglim Seo, a professor specialized in Hospitality Management at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (UH Manoa), during the first semester of this academic year. As part of his mission, he taught the class “Revenue Management” to the students of the Bachelor of Tourism, sharing with them his international expertise.

This initiative demonstrates the importance of UH Manoa as a strategic partner for UPF. Since the early 1980s, both institutions have fostered solid academic relations, initially established in the fields of literature, languages, cultures and Oceanic societies. This partnership has been intensified through the Nārua project and has progressivelly expanded to other themes of common interest: sustainable development, tourism, ocean and natural resource management.

This mission of Professor Kwanglim Seo is absolutely in line with this dynamic. It embodies the strong relation between the UPF and the UH Manoa, but it also contributes to the internationalization of the training courses offered at UPF. In a region where tourism is a major pillar of the economy, these collaborations offer students a valuable insight into global issues, while drawing on the local specificities of the Polynesian and Hawaiian contexts.
